I hope you guys had a great holiday! I sure did! I spent it at the house! The psst few dayscI have been reading Rik Frrny’s book “”Weiting Books For Fun, Fun, Fame and Fortune!” It basically is a “how to book” on how to write how to books.
It is a good read and I highly recommend it. It is a guideline on how to make these types of books while you are waiting for that big contract from thar big publisher. At least you could get some in ome coming in until that magical moment comes in!
I plan on using that book to make my own ” how to book”. That is the current plan now. That and the rehab I am undergoing to strengthen my LEDs. Never found out what caused the nerve damage p, but hopefully the rehab will fix things.
Please bear with me. If you find spelling errors. With my vision being the,way it is, I’m sure there are some. I have difficulty proof reading…Well I have to go now. So until next time … William out!
What the-hell happened to the virtual Ty type. Writer? My God typing os hard enough without this going on. To hope they update Tge keyboard so it is normal again.
Any way I am trying to write again despite the health problems . I need to do that to keep busy. I will write some haiku and read Rik Feeny’s how to book.
And also if any one could suggest a writing app thay would expand the size of the words as you write I would appreciate it! Until next trine…William out
Good afternoon fellow writers! Today we celebrate our Independe. Today our country celebrates 238 years of democracy and freedom. We are the symbol to the rest of the world of what humankind can achieve if we put our minds hearts and souls to it.
Today we will celebrate with parades, backyard cookouts and, fireworks. Each will celebrate in our own way with our families. Or if not we will celebrate at work or where ever we may be. But here is the most important thing to celebrate…
We must celebrate those who are serving our country both here and in foreign lands. We celebrate our wounded warriors and those who committed the ultimate sacrifice. Remember Until next time…William out! these people. For without them there is no us. No freedom. No independence. No America as we know it. So please remember as we celebrate today!
Once again I will start off by saying I hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe evening. I hope that your weekend will go well. And I hope that the USA is going to do well in the knock out rounds at the World Cup of Soccer. Go USA!
I have been working on my sci-fi story “Time after Time”. Yes I recently changed the title of the story to one that fits the story better. So far so good. I am still sad that the Cheerios contest won’t be held this year. 😦 Oh well…I will keep on researching and writing children’s stories. You never know. Cheerios may be back next year.
I got to get back and write poetry and get those poems ready for submission to various magazines and contests. When it comes to gaining inspiration for writing poems, I go right to The Writer’s Almanac by Garrison Keillor. Who has been posting to his blog and podcast for many years. Speaking of which I will go there now for more inspiration. So until next time…William out!
Actually re-blogging is also good for the soul. This is a change from what I usually post. The reason why I am doing this? Change. Change is good for the soul. It also makes my blog more unpredictable and fresh. I also hope that it will bring in new readers as well.
Another reason why I re-blogged Alayne Christian’s Sub Six Series post is not only does she have a great blog, but it is where I found out that the Cheerios contest is not going to be held this year. 😦 Oh well maybe next year. One thing is for sure. You can go to Alayne’s site and find information regarding submissions to various contests. Here is her site URL http://www.alaynekayechristian.wordpress.com. You can copy and paste this into your address bar.
On another note I have been busy with my sci-fi story. That is always fun. I changed the story title from “A Change in Time” to “Time After Time”. The new title more accurately reflects the storyline itself and so hence the title change. I knew I was having some difficulty writing the story and I think the new title will help things. Well it is time for me to move on so until next time…William out!
It is D-Day today. Let us pause for a moment and honor the memory of those brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy 70 years ago today. Some of them paid the ultimate sacrifice. All of them made it possible for us to have what we have today. Let us remember them all for they are the definition of what being a hero is all about!
Author of “I Know Why The Caged Bird Has Wings.” Maya Angelou passed away today. She was 86. She will be sorely missed. She was a stateswoman to the world. She always exuded a quiet dignity about hersejf…until next time…William out!
